RiskQ advisory board members are comprised of trusted leaders in the industry known for being changemakers in cybersecurity and cyber risk. As advocates and ambassadors of RiskQ’s VRisk Cyber Risk Platform, the advisory board supports the business development initiatives providing cyber expertise and thought leadership. We are pleased to announce the former CEO of CyberRiskPartners and Managing Partner and Founder of Summit Capital has joined our advisory board.

 David Kimmel
Board Member, Strategic Advisor, and Change Leader

Mr. Kimmel is a Managing Partner and Founder of Summit Capital, a merchant banking boutique, where he advises and invests in a range of financial services and technology clients. He was previously CEO of CyberRiskPartners, a cyber risk analytics and solutions company, and was a frequent speaker on cyber risk at national industry conferences and senior executive off-sites. Mr. Kimmel has been named to public and private company boards in a variety of sectors, including reinsurance, life insurance and annuities, cyber risk, fintech, insurtech, and asset management.
Previously, Mr. Kimmel was an investment banker for more than two decades in the US and UK. He advised primarily insurance and other financial services clients regarding mergers and acquisitions and public and private capital raising while serving at JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and Kidder, Peabody.
At Deutsche Bank, David was the Head of Financial Institutions – Americas, Investment Banking. At JPMorgan, he was the Head of Insurance Investment Banking for the Americas and Co-Head of the Global Insurance Investment Banking practice. Mr. Kimmel served on the Investment Banking Management Committees at both JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, as well as on their Fairness Opinion Committees. Over the course of his career, he has advised on billions of completed M&A transactions and financings for industry leaders in insurance.

Mr. Kimmel holds an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois, with matriculation in the James Scholar Program in Engineering. He has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and MIT.
